COLLECTION OF UNPAID ACCOUNTS
Very little will have a negative impact on a business more
quickly than the providing of goods and services to customers who then fail to
pay you. When you find yourself in the
position of having provided your services or products to a customer who then
refuses to pay you, our firm can help you.
Our attorneys are experienced in the collection of unpaid accounts and
under almost all circumstances if our firm is not able to collect the money due
to you, you will not owe any attorney fees.
CONTRACTUAL MATTERS
Our attorneys understand that many problems which arise in
day to day business could have been avoided by simply having a properly drafted
written contract. We respect the value
of a hand shake, but we also understand that if both parties truly understand
what they have agreed to then they will not be offended by the idea of having
their agreement reduced to writing to avoid problems if questions arise later. Our attorneys can assist you in the drafting
of a contract to protect your business interest and will also assist you as
needed in negoitating with the other party before entering into an
agreement. Examples of contracts which
our attorneys can assist you with include:
Builder / Contractor Agreements
Change Orders
Leases
Promissory Notes
Purchase and Sale of Real Estate
Service Contracts
FORMATION OF BUSINESS ENTITIES
Many of our clients started their business as just an idea
that grew into a successful business. As
your business grows the needs of your business also grow. Most small businesses should be owned and
operated as Limited Liability Companies or S-corporations both for
organizational purposes and to provide the protection of limited liability to
the owner of the business. Our attorneys have the expertise and experience
necessary to help draft the operating agreements, by-laws, and other documents
necessary for your business as well as represent your business when necessary.
LANDLORD/TENANT MATTERS
A wise man once said, “The only two things any landlord wants
from his or her tenant is a person who pays the rent on time and who does not
tear the place up”. Unfortunately the
owners of rental property often find themselves dealing with persons who for
whatever reason have become less than desirable tenants. At such times our attorneys can assist you in
collecting past due and unpaid rent, the eviction of undesirable tenants, and representing you, the property owner, in other matters involving your
property. We represent property owners only and do not represent
tenants due to the conflicts which arise when attorneys represent a number of
business clients as is the case with our firm.
REPRESENTATION OF CREDITORS IN BANKRUPTCY
Our firm represents business clients and individual clients who are creditors or persons who have filed bankruptcy. We do not represent persons seeking to file for bankruptcy protection. Our firm can and will assist you in cases where a person owing you money has sought to avoid this debt by filing bankruptcy. Our attorneys can and will represent you in bankruptcy matters including appearing on your behalf at meetings of creditors with the Bankruptcy trustee as well as before the Bankruptcy Court.
We represent creditors only in bankruptcy matters and do not represent persons or businesses seeking to file bankruptcy as the number of business clients we represent results in a large number of conflicts.
REPRESENTATION OF CREDITORS IN FORECLOSURE
When and if you loan money, it is wise to take a security
interest in some type of collateral for the loan. If you find yourself or your business in the
position of having to pursue collection efforts to the point of foreclosing on
property that was pledged as collateral for a loan or executing on personal
property in which you have a security interest, our attorneys can assist you in
these matters. We represent creditors only in foreclosure matters and do
not represent persons or businesses seeking to avoid foreclosure as the number
of business clients we represent results in a large number of conflicts.
